When one thinks of Nordic Sweets, the vision of a wide range of foods made with lots of butter, cream and sugar may come to mind. However, that is only side of the sweet equation. Many other sweets are much simpler and allow you to add additional ingredients to make them suite your sweet tooth.
Traditionally, around Christmas time, Scandinavians go all out in making their cookies. It seems like each country has their own name for similar cookies. Then, within each country their are many versions. Daughters of Norway members continually try to teach others the art of cooking both the traditional recipes and the modern ones. We hope you enjoy baking these foods.
